In the Gästedorf you can store your equipment in the heated ski room (your room key will lock the room).

From here you have the options to go by car or bus to Veitsch (14,8 km, 18 min), Stuhleck (14,6 km, 13 min) or Semmering/Hirschenkogel (22,8 km, 22 min). More Infos about the different skiing resorts are provided here. Please visit their websites for current snow information.

Veitsch plans to open on December 3rd. 2016!
The skiing area of the Veitsch mountain is also reachable under 20 min. (google maps). (For Navi: Hauptstraße 18, 8663 Veitsch) There 4 lifts and 10 sloapes await you. One of them is a 4chaired chair lift. Much more info here: Website Veitsch.

Ski-Waldheimat in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein offers 3 lifts and 3 sloaps as well as 4 very traditional stops (restaurants,…). St. Kathrein is the first municipaliy after the Alpl and is part of Peter Roseggers Waldheimat.

Ski resort Stuhleck

Stuhleck is open! They opend on November 18th 2016
In only 13 min you can also reach Spital am Semmering. There the Stuhleck, the first mountain that has ever been conquered with skis in 1891. Of course now you find different slopes, a night sloape, a taboggan run, cross country ski tracks and a funpark. All the infos here.

The Semmering is on the boarder to Lower Austria and therefore not in Styria anymore. But from the Gästedorf you can reach it in 22 min. The Hirschenkogel mountain is famous due to the womens slalom world cup races. Infos here.

Skiing without a car

To visit the different skiing areas we recommend a car! Unfortunately there are no ski buses available.
You can reach us with the public train (station: Langenwang) or bus (station: GH zur Post). Here you can check the timetables.
With the public transport you can reach Spital am Semmering (Stuhleck) or Semmering. From the Semmering station you need a taxi to the lifts.
